

In his free time, Ganzberg is an avid reader, frequent traveler, and cherishes most time spent with his three girls: his wife Rebekah, his two-year-old daughter Leighton, and their dog Harper. Most recently, Ganzberg completed his course requirements for the dual MBA/M.Min program at MVNU, earning both degrees in July of 2019. During his playing career at Bethel, Ganzberg was an ESPN/CoSIDA First Team Academic-All-American, one of 11 soccer players selected nationwide across all levels. Ganzberg was the 2010 Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Year, a 2010 NAIA All-American, two-time NCCAA All-American, and team MVP. Ganzberg, a native of South Bend, Indiana, is a 2011 graduate of Bethel College with a degree in pre-law/psychology.

In July of 2016, Zach was selected to the NSCAA “30 under 30” program, a group comprised of the 30 best soccer coaches under 30 years old in the country. Ganzberg has earned the USSF F, E, and D licenses, as well as the NSCAA National and Advanced National Diplomas. Ganzberg has coached in two NCCAA National Championship games, leading the Bethel Men’s Soccer team to national runners-up finishes in the 20 seasons. This achievement is a familiar one to Ganzberg, as he has won the Crossroads League seven times as a player and as a coach.

In 2016, Ganzberg helped lead the Pilots to the Crossroads League regular season championship. Ganzberg came to MVNU after spending three years as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Bethel College (now Bethel University) in Mishawaka, Indiana. Ganzberg’s duties at Bethel included recruiting, compliance, training session preparation and execution, match analysis, and in-game tactical decision-making. This win, along with reaching double digit wins and appearing in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, propelled MVNU to a historic season. Ganzberg and the Cougars had one of the most memorable nights in the history of the program on September 18, when they defeated #2 Rio Grande (Ohio) 2-0, handing the Red Storm their first regular season loss since 2017. MVNU also received votes for the NAIA Coaches' Poll in 2019, appearing in the October 16 version of the poll. Under Ganzberg, MVNU finished third in the Crossroads League in 2020-21. Under Ganzberg, the MVNU men's soccer program was able to achieve 400 all-time wins on Mawith a 2-1 victory over Rochestor University.

Ganzberg led MVNU to its best winning percentage of his tenure in 2020. In four seasons, Ganzberg has a 35-26-9 record, with MVNU improving in each season under his leadership. Expanding upon the content of the Level 4 and 5 Diplomas this course includes a session on reading the game as well as coaching technique and tactics with in 4 vs.4 and 6 vs. One third of the course is dedicated to candidates presenting on assigned topics and enjoying feedback on their performance in both methods and content. This Diploma is an excellent preparatory course for coaches going onto the National Diploma.
